2020 Clovercrest Carnival

Clovercrest, Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:59PM

On Sunday 8th November, Clovercrest Swimming Club hosted its annual long course carnival. There were a few more challenges than usual in this new Covid safe world, but it was a very successful day, with lots of fantastic swimming, great team spirit, and fantastic weather. Thank you to all the visiting clubs for your support and assistance time keeping on the day. Thanks also to Michelle Whitaker and Chris Ekins, our Swimming SA officials, to Payneham Swimming Pool, to Tamara McAvaney from Immanuel Swimming Club for volunteering as Judge of Stroke, and to Phil Schaedel for his assistance in marshalling.

Our carnival simply would not have been possible without our team of dedicated club members and parents, and thanks go to everyone who helped before and on the day, from manning the BBQ to team managing, from IOTs to marshalls- we couldn't have done it without you! Thanks to John and Pete for their coaching expertise on the day too!

We had just about all of our swimmers participating, many for the first time. There were state times acheived, medals won, and lots of fantastic first swims. Every swimmer did their best, and we are proud of every one of you!
