2018 State Long Course Championships
We had a total of 13 swimmers qualify and take part in this year's Long Course State Championships. An additional 7 swimmers took part in the Optus Junior Dolphins or relay teams.
A total of 6 swimmers achieved 100% PBs, and most swimmers achieved very high PB rates. From the 13 swimmers who swam in the heats, 4 (Caitlin, Isabella, Stephanie and Olivia) qualified for 2 or more finals each. We won a total of 5 medals; Isabella 2 Bronze, Olivia 1 silver, and Jasmine 2 bronze in the multi class events, together with breaking the multi class age group 100 breast stroke record. What a great achievement! The girls team finished 14th overall, a great result for the club.
A big thank you must go to Jill, our coach, for all her hard work and effort, and also to all the parents who took their swimmers to the Aquatic Centre in Marion, sometimes twice in one day, and to those who appeard on pool deck as officials. Without your support the Championships would not have been as successful.

January 18-22nd sees 9 of our swimmers ranging from ages 16 to 9 compete in Swimming SA Long Course State Chamiponships.
They join swimmers from 26 South Australian clubs and 30 visiting interstate clubs.
