Clovercrest 2017 Carnival Report

 

The Clovercrest 2017/18 Long Course Carnival was held on Sun 29th October at a new venue for us- the Payneham Swimming Centre. We had 26 swimmers competing, including eight swimmers that were making their debut for the Clovercrest Swimming Club.

Well done to Ash, Cameron, Isla, Levi, Emily, Daniel , Adele, and Ethan on your fantastic swimming at your first ever Swimming SA carnival!

Swimming hightlights of the day were:

• PBs- Kirra (1), Olivia (2), Hannah C (4), Piper (3), Crystal (6), Donovan (3), Jasmin (5), Stephanie (2), Ash (1), Matthew (1), Hannah R (3), Jackson (4), Gemma (2), Isabella (2), and Jake (1). Special mentions to Hannah R and Donovan who achieved 100% PBs or new times!
• MEDALS- Caitlin (5x 1st, 1x 3rd), Olivia (3x 1st, 2x 2nd), Isabella (3x 1st), Amber (1x 1st, 1x 3rd), Matthew (1x 1st), Stephanie (2 x 2nd), Piper 1x 2nd), and Jackson (1x 3rd)
• NEW STATE TIMES- Matthew (200 IM), Crystal (50 back, 100 free, 50 fly), Stephanie (200 breast), and Adele (50 back, 100 free, 50 free). Special mention to Adele as this was quite the achievement at her first ever carnival!
• CLUB RECORDS- Congratulations to Jasmin on breaking 2 of her own records for 100 breast and 100 freestyle.
